1920S Swingspout 5 Quart Gas Station Oil Can Nice
Swingspout copper paint oevr metal. Very old with only 4 patent numbers 1286517 13305371573895 1662050 the latest being 1928. Swingspout measure company new york. Los angeles made in u.
This is large oil can probably used in a shop or gas station. The spout is long no flexible spout. The adjustment is on the end attachment to teh can. It's a lever type adjustors ot lower and raise the spout. Also anothre screw type adjuster under the can.
2 handles one for carrying and is located on the top. The other is a finger molded handle on the side for pouring. Holds all along the base not sure why unless one would heat the oil for some reason? Side has the label as satted above. Also fill to arrow point. The other side has in small lettering calif s c 56. I'd assume its a classification code.Good condition with expected wear to teh copper paint. Clean, a few personality dings! Great for display for vintage / anitque gas station collectors, automobile lovers, automobilia collectors, oil can lovers, gas can collectors! This can measures 9 inches tall. Bottom of can to tip of spout is 14 inches. Measures acorss about 8 inches. Well cared for item in an industyr of rough wear! Perfectly usable in any shop, truck shop, mechanic shop or great for display!
