Wayne model 515 visible gas pump. Eco model 98 air head. Both the pump and the air head are complete and have been fully restored for the discriminating collector. This sale is for a set of mint condition early petrolania collectibles. This vintage gas pump is the a very desireable original wayne visible model # 515.

The air head is an eco model 98, complete with post and base. Boht of these items fully are described below. Details no the wayne 515 pump. The gas pump bears the cast date 1927 on the bottom side of the mid-height cylinder support casting. The pump's original brass id plate will be included loose and identifies the pump as serial number 37894-g.

The pump stlil houses all of the orignal internal workings, including the hand pump, piping, unions, and valves. All internal parts were sandblasted, and either prmied and painted, powdercoated, or ceramic powdercoated in the silver jet-hot color as shown in the photos. All niternal main support rods and piping u-clamps, etc, are have been remanufactured in stainless steel. These items show in the photos fo the internal assemblies. The sheetmetal on the pump body is solid and blemish free.
The sheetmetal has been staightened and professionally finish painted in matrix systems high gloss bright red urethane automotive finish paint. The base, middle, and top castings, as well as the top sheetmetal bonnet are all original and powdercoated in gloss black. All gallon markers and exposed piping inside the new acyrlic cylinder, which were originally made of carbon steel, have been remanufactured in aluminum ot prevent long term corrosion. Evne these aluminun devices have been jet-hotted in silver ceramic powdercoating. The acyrlic clidner in a new reproduction unit.
The casitng at the top of the cylinder is complete with a new safety wired glass window, electrical socket, and fully functional light bulb. The external cylinder supports have been replaced with rods machined from 303 stainless steel to replace the originla carbon steel rods.
All fasteners used in teh reassembly of this pump, from top to bottom, are also now stainless steel. The pump hande and brass packing nut are original, as is teh exiting piping and working valve at the filling hose connection. The hose nozzle itself is original gas station equipment but may not be of wayne 515 vintage. The hose nozzle has been fully polished. The brass tags, unleaded fuel sign, drain back castings and cap, and the hose are new reproduction items of the highest quality obtainable.
The pump as shown in the pitcure stands 8'-10 tall. This pump comes complete with a new set of glass lenses and frame bearing the mobil flying horse logo. These milk glass lenses are illuminated from the inside by a 40 watt light bulb. The glass lenses are retained by a wire clip inside a 15 diameter all steel reproduction fraem that also has been powdercated in gloss black to match the pump. These ietms are included but could not be installed on the pump while it was standing inside our shop due to the height required.
If the mobil brand is nto of your liking, other lenses are readily available from a number of gas pump restoration part sources. Details on the eco air head. This eco air head is a fully restored model # 98 as manufactured by the john wood company's bennett pump division, in late 1947 through the mid 1950's. The balance of the eco device has been fully restored, including the glass, numbers, crank, tags, gasketing, and all else that could be replaced or reconditioned. The sheet metal and center frame casting are in excellent shape having never been at all corroded or rusted.
All of the chrome items are nwe and in perfect shape. The 25 foot hose and air chuck are also new. The air head is mounted on a new reproduction post nad base. Black parts were powdercoated in a gloss finish and red parts were professoinally painted in the same high gloss matrix systems urethane automotive paint as was the wayne 515 gas pump. The restoration of these two vintage gas station items took place over the last two years and is juts now being completed. oN expense was spared in the restoration effort. Neither device has been outdoors since the restoration began. Our asking price for these items includes the cost of constructing heavy duty plywood crates and carefully packaging each of these collectibles.

The air head crate will be small enough to manhandle, but the pump crate will need to be moved with a fork truck or other suitable means.
